A Level 1 Minister in Training is a year long ministry program equivalent to a freshman year in the ministry training process. It is for a person who has proven to be faithful and diligent as a servant to the body of Christ. Having demonstrated these qualities and characteristics they will then be given the opportunity to serve as a leader in one of the different areas of the ministry (Small Group Program, Sunday School teaching, greeters, Youth Ministry, Choir, Visitation, special events, projects, etc.)

As a Level 1 Minister in Training you will be regularly evaluated by the person who is the head of the area in which you are working, as well as periodic reviews by the overseer assigned to assist you.

The Course includes

  • 5 Bible School Classes on the Dynamics of Faith
  • A book reading and report on “Every Christian’s Destiny is Leadership”
  • A consistent bible study track record, and reading through the Bible cover to cover.
  • Weekly Journal Updates and group discussions.
  • Leading an event for a small group.
  • A Full year of volunteered service with assigned Mentor. (not full time)
  • Leading an event for a small group.

As a Minister In Training, the work you will be doing is very important both to the ministry and to the Lord; therefore it should not be taken lightly. All that you do should be done as unto the Lord. If after a year of service as a Level 1 Minister in Training, a man or a woman feels a call of God to full time ministry, they be given an opportunity to meet with the Director of the Ministry Program to discuss this calling.

Course Overview

Course Materials

  • Each Book will have a Chapter/Class Review that must be finished and graded.
  • Online Journal Entries/Responses.
  • Weekly review during Church sermons and feedback on lessons learned.

Course Requirements

  • Read all of the required texts.
  • Attend all classes or listen to recordings of any missed classes if absentee is excused.
  • The required exams will be open book.
  • Establish and complete all bible reading.
  • Complete weekly journal entry on current week’s learning and what God is speaking to you in your private time.
  • Complete a journal response to each of your peers entries.

Course Schedule

  • All current courses are self-study with weekly drivers for bible reading and journal entries.
  • In the future this program will have weekly/biweekly classes.

Exam Schedule

  • Current Exam schedule is self-determined.

Homework Policy

It is crucially important to your spiritual health and growth that you continue with your bible reading and journal entries weekly. If you do have to miss a week please ensure that you are communicating through the process.
